The right thing to do is for the federal government to warn those raising religious tension to desist from doing so and not play the ostrich whatsoever. What with the condemnation of this tragic “drama of conversion” by notable Islamic scholars amongst whom is the director of Muslims rights concern (MURIC) Prof Ishaq Akintola, who emphasised that the glorious Quran is explicit in this regard, as it says, “There is no compulsion in religion.(Q2:256)”? Those who neglect to listen even without belief or deliberately refuse to give consideration to the clear lesson and guidance by this verse, are those seeking to benefit from the conduct of enemies of Islam.
The federal government is duty bound to check those who seek to raise religious tension and expedite action to free our daughters from the agents of doom. We cannot afford to get astride the passion of religion. There is God ooo.
