Re: Fraud soaks up salaries in Kogi councils – A Rejoinder

Preceding the mention of my name was a copious quotation from an anonymous chairman of a local government alleging financial indiscretion at the ministry. This unnamed chairman according to this wild and far-fetched story, fought the said deduction. Thereafter I was identified as a chairman who nearly lost his life as a result of fighting the purported deduction.
The impression given in the said report invariably portrays me as the source of this falsehood. This is unfortunate.
To start with, the bomb incidence at my residence sometimes in January this year is still being investigated by the security authorities. I have never pretended to know or even speculated on the identity of the perpetrators of the dastardly act. As a politician involved in electoral contests and several other competitions and as an elected council chairman who takes far reaching decision that affect people one way or the other, it will be foolhardy of me to begin to speculate on the culprit(s) of such a heinous crime that is alien to Kogi State.
It is therefore curious that the authors of this fictitious report have already come to the conclusion that the bomb was planted because of my purported “opposition to deduction” in the ministry of local government. Perhaps they can avail the police with details of the findings that led them to this conclusion?
However I will like to state for the record that I’m not aware of any fraud in the Ministry of Local Government in Kogi State, let alone constitute an opposition to such non-existent act that could warrant any threat to my life.
I’m convinced that this story was contrived to embarrass my person and bring me to hatred, disrepute and ridicule amongst my colleagues.
