Alatoxin infected maize

The various relevant shared information in your widely read Golden Harvests (Your Guide to Successful Farming) which forms part of your well read Daily Trust newspaper  across Nigeria  were highly commendable.

But the write up failed to discuss areas and farms that were affected by Aflatoxin, (that is reported  rise in infection in locally grown maize) places and the states.

There is also need for  suggestions for a proactive extension service delivery by the various  extension agents (Agricultural Development Programs)  to the farmers  that will promote information sharing, further discussions  and capacity building.

Government needs to also intervene  and provide palliative measures, support to the  affected  maize farmers  so that there will be no further spread of  Aflatoxin  across the country.
