During the programme, a number of people spoke and analyses were given or made that Goodluck has the highest number of Facebook friends in Africa. The Hon. Minister Labaran Maku came out and solicited support from Nigerians to vote massively for President Jonathan in the 2011 presidential election, furthermore he thanked the President loud and clear for being the first person to bring Facebook to Nigeria. The minister should recall that he wore caftan and the president wore T-shirt and jeans that day in Lagos.

Well, I cannot dispute the fact that President Jonathan was the first sitting president to use Facebook in his interaction with the populace, but definitely not the first person to bring Facebook to Nigeria.
