The Clean-up Nigeria (CUN) a non-governmental organisation (NGO) has asked the federal and state governments to reintroduce the monthly sanitation across to boost cleanliness in urban centres in the country.

It also called for the building of more public toilets across the country to end open defecation and remove Nigeria’s name from the list of open defecation countries.

Addressing newsmen during the public presentation of the cleanliness performance index for states in Abuja, National Coordinator, Clean Up Nigeria National Technical Study Group, Prince Ene Baba Owoh (jr) said the dangers of open defecation need to be tackled through partnership with the private sector.
