Corpus Christi is a passion play by Terrence McNally dramatizing the story of Jesus and the Apostles. Written in 1997 and first staged in New York in 1998, it depicts Jesus and the Apostles as gay men living in modern-day Texas.

The Da Vinci Code (film) The Da Vinci Code is a 2006 American mystery film produced by John Calley and Brian Grazer and directed by Ron Howard. The screenplay was written by Akiva Goldsman and adapted from Dan Brown’s best-selling novel of the same name. The film stars Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Ian McKellen, Alfred Molina, Jürgen Prochnow, Jean Reno, and Paul Bettany. The Da Vinci Code film, like the book, Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene were married and that the union produced a daughter. It was released on May 19, 2006. The Demark Newspaper cartoon of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is still in our memory. Just mention it.

It seems the nature and functions of law between US and most countries in the world have varied throughout history. In modern societies, some authorized body such as a legislature or a court makes the law. It is backed by the coercive power of the state, which enforces the law by means of appropriate penalties or remedies.

Formal legal rules and actions are usually distinguished from other means of social control and guides for behaviour such as mores, morality, public opinion, and custom or tradition. Of course, a lawmaker may respond to public opinion or other pressures, and a formal law may prohibit what is morally unacceptable.

Law serves a variety of functions. Laws against crimes, for example, help to maintain a peaceful, orderly, relatively stable society. So, there is great need for the American government to checkmate its freedom of expression and instill discipline. If we are to live our lives in peace and harmony, and if we are to achieve our ambitions of improving the conditions under which we live, we must have both freedom and discipline. Freedom without discipline is anarchy; and without discipline true freedom cannot survive. May God guide us right.
