Indeed, if our leaders have sincere advisers, who can think straight like the writer of the piece under reference, I don’t think the issue of a 53-year-old couple willing to wash their dirty linen in the public by taking a simple problem to a public court will arise.
What a shame! Any marriage that lasts a period of more than 50 years is expected to have all the experience it needs to iron out its challenges amicably within its matrimonial home.   However since the leadership deems it fit to go public, let it be.
As a result, I would like to add few reminders to Mr. President in addition to those offered by Bala Muhammad, our tireless refreshing columnist, as follows:
Let the organizers and the participants of the show remember to ensure that all assets are shared equally if the need to go our different ways comes off; and if we agree to maintain the status qou we need to quickly rehabilitate the abandoned agricultural sector in all regions particularly from where the resources used in building the oil sector were sourced.
We should also embark on immediate exploration and commercialization of oil and mineral resources in all regions to be able to live together with respect, create a special support fund for the northern farmers that continuously provide food to the table of all Nigerians as well as a special tax to all that earn their livelihood in millions of venture across the northern region so as to develop the region.
Also, it is imperative to provide a room for the crooks and sheep in wolf cloth at the centre taking the country backward because, I believe, none of the new set piece  will be willing to accommodate these unwanted elements, else the cycle will repeat itself in the new arrangement.
In fact, no right-thinking group will be prepared to inherit retrogressive elements for a progressive journey. Indeed, any marriage that’s without peaceful coexistence, progress, mutual relationship and respect for one another is not worth it .The greatest lesson in life is to know that everyone can be smart sometimes.
May Allah bless this great nation with all that is good.
