Those cult members have been terrorizing unsuspecting Nigerians with impunity. They should be brought to book so that there will be no repeat of their heinous crime. But if agency heads like Director-General of SSS would hurriedly, without any convincing argument, ‘forgive’ the murderers, then our country is in serious trouble.
We are still asking this question-why should the Director of SSS should offer forgiveness without consulting the families of the affected officers? Moreover, was he speaking the words of someone else higher up in the hierarchy of this administration? Otherwise, he should been seriously rebuked, or even reprimanded, for those unguarded comments.  He has no such right to make such offer. I believe he should even be questioned because there appears to be a hidden motive.
In Nigeria, we have several outlawed groups that are unleashing terror on us, why should we forgive them? If we can forgive the Ombatse, as the SSS man so impudently suggested, then Boko Haram sect members with all the dastardly acts they have perpetrated should be also forgiven.
Therefore, those parents in Nasarawa state who lost their dear ones, have every right to seek redress .The world is watching the Nasarawa State government to see how it deals with the Ombatse group. Ombatse is a deadly cult organization that the federal Government should declare illegal and publish that law in the National Gazette. Nigeria must not allow the murderers to elude justice. We have enough security challenges which are crippling the economy and social harmony, therefore any failure to prosecute members of Ombatse cult group will not augur well for the peaceful coexistence in the country.
