His unguarded statement simply shows the sort of mindset our leaders have. Can anyone negate the responsibility for the action of an officer you trained and armed? Is the police commissioner saying if a soldier shot dead his daughter, the army would be absolved of blame?
Can President Jonathan absolve his “out-of-office life” from his responsibilities as president? I sincerely hope the police boss gets a similar treatment from one of his men, and chooses to absolve the police and blame the person.
Of recent, I have seen lots of uninformed men, holding AK 47s at odd hours, pretending to be policemen in mufti….and no one can ask them for an ID, for the fear of a bullet.
The police commissioner’s statement is absurd and a misrepresentation of the facts, and therefore unworthy of the position he now holds.
