I am very excited about the above headline, credited to President Muhammadu Buhari, through  a written statement by the presidential spokesman and  his Special Advisor, Femi Adesina. 

This information is one of the  highlights captured in the Daily Trust newspapers  news  segment of Saturday, 25th February, 2018, which was  reported as part of the  complimentary  tributes the President mentioned, to honour his  Special Adviser and  Chairman of  Presidential Advisory committee  on anti corruption, Professor  Itse Sagay. at the  Presidential Villa  in Abuja, on Friday, while receiving a special delegation of  Itsekiri leaders, led by the Olu  of Warri, Ogiame  Ikenwoli. 

President Buhari was equally quoted, according to the presidential spokesman, to have commended the Itsekiri people “for producing men of strong conviction like Sagay”.

This Presidential tribute to the  Itsekiri  Community, stands out for me,  as the  best testimony and Medal of Honour that all  communities in Nigeria should clamour for, as an indelible mark of intergrity and genuine doctrine of faith, which is at variance with the overall records of evidences against the prevailing culture of hypocrisy that promotes corrupt vices and kleptomania, as symbols of  covetous achievements   in several communities in  the country. 

This Presidential tribute to the  Itsekiri Community has created a new global reference for all Nigerians to emulate, inorder to  proof to the international community, that, “integrity is not  an exclusive monopoly for them alone”  but to realise, that, ‘’some mothers in many Nigerian communities do have them”, also. 

May I  use this opportunity to celebrate with  the  Itsekiri Community, for  honouring Nigeria, with this  precious hero, that has become the  visible face and  iconic symbol of President Buhari’s change doctrine and anti-corruption  campaign bill board !
