This is a good foresight by Gov Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. Not every leader will think about these categories of people as they are voiceless due to the nature of their ailments.
 The organizers of the prayer event, Zakat and Endowment Committee and Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria, need to be commended for remembering the plight of this people.
The amount of money earmarked monthly as assistance by the state government is also a commendable gesture.
 And in this regard, the Sultanate Council should support the state government by earmarking some amount of money to the programme to compliment the good gesture.
 Equally of importance, is for the executive to send a bill to the state Assembly to include these categories of citizens in budgetary provisions, in order to sustain the programme beyond the current administration.
