Re: Still on the menace of gang violence in Misau

On the 17th of January 2022, Daily Trust newspaper published an article with the above caption written by one Inuwa Muhammad Goje, stating that residents of Misau Local Government Area are in dire need of an urgent intervention from the Bauchi State Government and other security agencies to tackle the menace of Kwarawa gang violence.

The aforesaid statement is of course a naked truth, Kwarawa gang in Misau treats residents with little sympathy through burglary, theft, snatching of valuable items, and beating people leading to injuries and deaths.

Based on what I gathered after a series of observations, investigating, and interviewing people, many said some highly placed individuals in Misau support the boys’ atrocities by bailing them out of police stations and courts thereby compromising the fight against crimes.

It’s undeniable that the people of Misau are in dire need of urgent intervention from the government, the Nigerian Police Force, and other sister agencies to tackle this menace of Kwarawa gang in Misau and its environs.

Finally, I wish to call on the government to set up a secret security committee that will be charged with monitoring and ensuring good, quality services for safeguarding the lives and properties of the people of Misau.
