But the writer, in his desperation, would have none of Tata’s good deeds. He described a letter written by Tata to President Goodluck Jonathan as an attempt at seeking the president’s attention and also to mislead the people. The writer said Tata, in his letter, attempted to portray the people of Katsina as intolerant. But the writer has failed as both President Jonathan and the people know the truth and can reach their own conclusions based on the information at their disposal.
It is certainly not for nothing that Tata is referred to as Garkuwan Talakawa who are urging him to contest for the governorship position in Katsina State. Tata, a highly gifted personality with exceptional political skills, is on another hand, an epitome of hope for the youth, father to the
orphans, husband to widows, and a leader to the religion!
In reality, Tata is all of these and more – a legend of sorts, a philanthropist with extra-large heart and robust giving spirit- Tata is intellectually impeccable and reserved. He is open-minded and hates insincerity, disloyalty and dishonesty and he is exquisitely cultivated, with charms, lofty principles, and
intolerance to louts and brutes.
The great man of inestimable worth and remarkable achievement is better defined by his quiet philanthropic disposition, large heart, giving spirit, boundless energy and endless desire to serve and help the poor and needy irrespective of tribe or state.
Born in 1968 in Dutsinma Town, Katsina State, Tata attended Na’alhaji Primary School in 1978. On graduation, from the Bayero University, Kano in 1987, he was employed by the Federal Civil Service Commission in 1991 to serve as an information office II. Having worked in different administrative capacities for 23 years, TATA, having being  exposed to work ethics and intricacies of power at
the highest level of our nation now returns home to join in efforts to rebuild our dear Katsina state.
These perhaps are part of the reasons that engendered people to call on him to serve at the pinnacle position in the state; a call he answered with passion.
Those of us who have had are privilege of associating closely with Tata have come to realize and respect his indispensable leadership qualities such as humility, dedication, patriotism, honesty, confidence, sense of humor, commitment, intuition, creativity, positive attitude and the ability to inspire and aspire.
As they say he who gives never lacks and the hand of the giver is ever on top…the voice of the people is the voice of God. All these inform my early and lasting impression of the man as a philanthropist who
gives scholarship to youths, helps poor and needy.
