That Daily Trust’s Inside Politics with Sule Lamido titled, “Tyranny fuels mass defection to APC” is a personal and true confession of his own encounter with the PDP high command, during the Goodluck Jonathan regime.

The former Jigawa State Governor, who ruled the poor state, as a one-man personal estate, with maximum display of aristocratic dictatorship, should not underrate our sense of judgment nor of history, to recall his own attempted defection saga, when he teamed up with a quartet of four aggrieved ex Governors: Aliyu Wamako of Sokoto State; Murtala Nyako of Adamawa State; Babangida Aliyu of Niger State during which they organized meetings, to defect from the PDP, in which Lamido and Babangida Aliyu made a volte face.

Lamido’s posturings can only be condoned in Nigeria, where some politicians with questionable characters and dented records, have been emboldened, under the all-conquering years of PDP-looters infamy, to feel economically fulfilled, without scruples or any feeling of remorse, about the gravity of their crime. Of course, Sule Lamido, is one of the shining stars and poster boys of the PDP, captured in the media, cooling it off in a prison cell, with his children for alleged financial impropriety, against his poverty-ravaged victims, the innocent citizens of Jigawa State. There is no denying the facts that the PDP has, in its 16 years of bestialities, produced and hatched several hardened criminals in our country; but, Sule Lamido, should not insult our sensibilities, nor sense of values. Give us a break.
