The article out rightly captured the message that Marx was trying to pass across in his short dictum. The problem with our polity has been identified by all and sundry, including the writer of this article, Mr Timawus Mathias, but it is evident that less workable solution has been proffered.
It seems to me that Nigerian columnists only enjoy playing with words with an eye to the gallery. We need a paradigm shift; we need to descend from the world of thoughts to actual world. We need a workable solution! Mathias has indeed expressed his anguish without offering a way forward. He is only exasperated as he said “I am frustrated and depressed and have prayed faithfully and patiently”. Thus, he posed many questions without offering a single answer and a workable solution.
However, I advise the author of this article to read Jibrin Ibrahim’s Monday column published  in Daily Trust of April 21, 2014, titled: “Enough is Enough: Let’s Work Together to Stop Them Killing Our Children”, in which he proffered a workable solution to the insurgency issue and the way forward. Alas! Mathias’ article is more of that of an anguished novelist Chinua Achebe’s “There Was a Country”, the most excellent fictional portrayer of the Nigerian Civil War outlined in a first class Queen’s English. Nevertheless, I must acknowledge that this is a desired effort by Mr Mathias to express his feelings about our polity; however, he missed the point. Yes! I mean he missed the point.
