The Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Dr. Abubakar Dzukogi, has assured on the revival of the Solar Energy Research Centre of the institution. Dr. Dzukogi, who inspected the centre recently, was not impressed with the standard but assured that he will work towards reviving it.

 He said research is one of the fundamental mandates of the institutions of higher learning and the centre is supposed to receive priority attention but instead it had been neglected for long.

“My administration will revive this centre both in terms of physical structures and other essentials to bring it to appreciable standard,” he said.

He said by the time the centre was renovated and developed, it would not only be limited to solar research but become home to other fields of research.
