Rector warns lecturers against sexual harassment

The polytechnic is owned by the Kaduna State Government.
He said the warning became necessary in order to protect the image of the school.
Yahaya spoke during the 2014/2015 matriculation ceremony of 6,616 students, saying that by enrolling their children for studies, parents have entrusted them into the care of lecturers and the school in general.
His words: “I urge you to mentor these students. You should also avoid truancy, sexual harassment, involvement in students’ projects beyond the officially acceptable levels and unnecessary extortion of students on handouts.
“Let me assure all students, both fresh and returning, of management’s resolve to continue to provide conducive environment for learning. Management would continue to maintain zero tolerance on social vices that have the potential of distracting students from their primary aim of being in the institution.”
