The Abuja natives under the umbrella of the Indigenous People of the FCT, said they received the news of the redeployment of CP Saka Ajao Adewale, the immediate past FCT Commissioner of Police by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, with a shock.
The pioneer leader of the group, Comrade Dalhatu Ezekiel Musa, who spoke with journalists in Abuja, said the natives would miss the former FCT police commissioner.
Musa stated that the redeployed CP achieved a lot within the short period he presided over the security situation in the FCT, especially in the territory’s rural communities.
He highlighted that CP Adewale’s activeness in tackling kidnapping and other crimes in the FCT had built immense confidence in the police.
Musa noted that the CP “actually defined community policing” through his collaborative efforts with hunters and local vigilantes in the territory.
