The second person, late Alhaji Ibrahim Bapetel a one-time Commissioner of Finance and later the Secretary to the Adamawa State Government, died in the month of December. He was the Action Congress of Nigeria gubernatorial candidate in Adamawa State in 2007 and moved to the Peoples Democratic Party just recently, becoming a close ally of his former opponent in the 2007 polls, Governor Murtala Nyako.

My children even asked me why I felt so affected by the two deaths. All I told them was that their end has come and that every mortal must taste death. And the only consolation for the dead is prayers. The death of these great sons of Adamawa State is really sad. It is hoped that the coming 2012 would user good tidings for the people of this country. May God see us through, amen.
