The National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) is partnering with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) to train 10,000 Persons of Concern (POC) on Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

The Director-General (DG) of NITDA, Malam Inuwa Kashifu Abdullahi, said this on Friday during a meeting with the DG of NCFRMI, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, at the NITDA office in Abuja.

Speaking during the meeting, Hajiya Imaan said she was at the agency to strengthen their collaboration and enlist the NCFRMI DGs support in areas of ICT training to uplift and empower POCs in the country. 

She said there was need to adopt a smart commission approach as proper data management would enhance a comprehensive discharge of the commission’s mandate.

On his part, the DG of NITDA said the agency was more than happy to partner with the NCFRMI, assuring that all the necessary support and assistance would be accorded it.
