The reinstated acting governor of Taraba state, Alhaji Sani Danladi arrived Jalingo, the state capital on Friday evening to a rousing welcome by a mammoth crowed of supporters at the airport.

Danladi was reinstated as the deputy governor by a Supreme Court ruling earlier on Friday, ousting Garba Umar who had been deputy after the impeachment of Danladi and acting governor following Governor Danbaba Suntai’s air accident in October 2012.

The new acting governor who arrived the Jalingo Airport at about 5.50 pm aboard an aircraft marked M-ARSL was chauffeured to the Government House after acknowledging cheers from his supporters.
He was accompanied by Architect Darius Ishaku (a Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial aspirant), House of Reps Chief Whip, Isiaka Bawa, former commissioner for Water Resources, Rebo Usman and former Commissioner for Justice, Timothy Gibon Kataps amongst others.

Other personalities that were at the airport to receive Danladi include former governor Jolly Nyame, Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, deputy speaker of Taraba house of assembly, Tanko Maikarfi, the G-8 lawmakers loyal to governor Suntai, aides and political associates of Governor Suntai and Danladi.

He went straightway to visit Governor Suntai at his official residence upon arrival at the Government House.

Guests were seated at the Exco chamber of Government House Jalingo to receive him at the time of filing this report.
