Nigerian music sensation and rapper, Divine Ikubor, popularly called ‘Rema’ has made the BBC Radio 1Xtra’s list of 15 exciting acts for the station’s Hot for 2020 list.
The list is compiled annually by the radio station and later announced on the famous ‘The 1Xtra Breakfast Show’ with Dotty.
“Really excited to see what the year has in store for our class of 2020. It’s great to have so many acts from so many different genres,” says Dotty.
DJ Target says: “The 1xtra Hot for list has always been on the pulse when it comes to predicting the stars for the year ahead, and this year’s feels more exciting and diverse than ever, which is testament to the amount of amazing music we heard in 2019. I can’t wait to see how 2020 unfolds for all of these artists. Stay tuned.”
Daily Trust reports that the list often predicts artistes that may likely rule the music world in the year.
The ‘Lady’ and ‘Dumebi’ crooner, who also made former US President Barack Obama’s 2019 Summer Playlist and Favourite Music List of 2019, is the only Nigerian on this year’s list.
