Rutger Reman has been appointed President / Managing Director for Ericsson Nigeria, reporting to Jean-Claude Geha, President and CEO of Ericsson sub-Saharan Africa.
Rutger Reman succeeds Johan Jemdahl as Managing Director for Ericsson Nigeria.
President and CEO of Ericsson sub-Saharan Africa said in a statement that Rutger has demonstrated excellent leadership capabilities and displayed keen insight in developing business and creating value.
“He brings to bear nearly 30-years’ experience in the telecommunications and technology industry and possesses a strong drive to strengthen Ericsson’s support and amplify its new innovation to leading operators and their customers in the Nigerian market,” he stated.
Rutger joined Ericsson over 20 years ago, having started his professional career at the Swedish operator, Telia where he worked for several years.
Prior to assuming his current role, Rutger was President and Head, Customer Unit Industry and Society, Region Middle East, where he was responsible for driving business growth and capturing new market opportunities.
The new Managing Director, Rutger Reman, in his response, said he was pleased to join Erricson team in Nigeria and be an integral part of the ongoing growth and transformation of Nigeria ICT domain.
