Remo Stars have maintained their unbeaten run in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season after they forced Enugu Rangers to a barren draw in the delayed Week 8 match played yesterday at the Ifeanyi Ubah stadium in Nnewi.

Although Remo Stars maintained their unbeaten status, the point in Nnewi was not enough to dislodge Rivers United from the top of the table.

Both Rivers United and Remo Stars are on 18 points from the same number of matches but the ‘Pride of Rivers’ have superior goal difference of plus 11 while Remo Stars have 8.

In the other week 8 match played in Ibadan, 3SC rallied back to beat visiting Kwara United 2-1 to move to 15th position on the log.

After a goalless first half, Alao Danbani put the visitors in front in the 60th minute but Ayo Adejubu equalised for the hosts in the 78th minute before Ebenezer Odeyemi scored the winner with the last kick of the ball.

Meanwhile, Tosin Omoleye’s goal in the 26th minute was enough to hand Enyimba victory over Akwa United in their rescheduled week 7 fixture in Aba.
