A member representing Dukku/Nafada Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hajiya Aishatu Jibir Dukku, has refurbished and donated drugs to a primary health centre in Shuwe, Dukku local government area of the state.

Speaking at the commissioning yesterday, the lawmaker said that she refurbished, provided drugs and other equipment to the health centre to make healthcare services free to rural communities.

She said the renovated health centre would now reduce the health challenges bedevilling residents of the area and provide them with affordable healthcare services.

Duku added that pregnant women and other patients would no longer encounter difficulties accessing medical care in the area and cautioned against misuse of the facilities provided at the hospital.

The Emir of Dukku, Alhaji Haruna Abdulkadir Rasheed II, said the health centre was in a deplorable condition before the lawmaker’s intervention.
