The member representing Tsanyawa/Ghari constituency of Kano in the House of Representatives, Sani Bala, has launched an empowerment programme aimed at improving the economic prospects of his constituents.
A statement by his media office in Abuja yesterday noted that among the empowerment items distributed to the constituents included N45 million cash to over 2,000 beneficiaries; 100 Point of Sale (POS) machines with N50,000 to support their businesses; 120 sewing machines; tricycles; pasta making machines, generators, grinding machines and flour, among others.
The lawmaker stated that the gesture was aimed at boosting small businesses, entrepreneurship and alleviating economic hardship within the constituency.
He expressed gratitude to the people and pledged continued support for programmes that benefit his constituents.
