Rescuers are currently combing the Lagos lagoon looking for two passengers of a bus which crashed into the rails of the Third Mainland Bridge and flung the victims into the water on Wednesday morning.The victims were among passengers on board an 18-seater bus involved in the accident.
The Territorial Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in the South West, Ibrahim Farinloye, who confirmed the incident in a WhatsApp message, said, “The bus swerved uncontrollably off the road and eventually hit the bridge rails and caused the two passengers to be flung into the lagoon.
“The victims, an adult male and a female, are being searched for by the marine police. The crashed vehicle has been towed to the Adeniji Adele Police Station.”
