The Association of Resident Doctors in Borno State has urged the federal and state governments to employ more health workers and increase health facilities in the states affected by Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East region. They said this would help in meeting up with the health requirements of the people. 
In a paper presented at the association’s Annual General Meeting and Scientific Confidence, 2015, titled the Role of Medicine in Counter Insurgency, the head of Medicine Department in the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, Dr. Yakubu Ndaiki, said available personnel and facilities in the hospitals were overstretched.
