Former Chairman of the Police Service Commission, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Parry Osayande, has died.
He reportedly died in Benin on Sunday, just a day to his 89th birthday.
President of the Immaculate Conception College Old Boys’ Association (ICCOBA) Worldwide, Engr. Ighodalo Edetanlen, confirmed the death in a condolence statement he issued on behalf of the association’s National Executive Committee.
He described Osayande as an “exemplary old boy” of the College.

Meanwhile, the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, mourned the passing of the late police officer.
He described the late DIG Osayande as an exemplary icon of professionalism and a patriot whose entire life was dedicated to the service of his community and the nation.
The governor, however, extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, the Benin Kingdom and the entire people of the State.
Osayande’s death came as police and Edo state are mourning the passing of former IGP Solomon Arase, who died at the age of 69 on August 31, at Cedercrest Hospital, Abuja, after a brief illness.
