With incessant desire for continuity and hope of positive change, commoners and progressives en masse endorsed and shuttled Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to power more than a year ago with record of over one million votes.
Progressive passion and hope that was ignited in the minds of commoners by perspicacious leader of previous regime through revamping of all developmental sectors of Kano stumbled with monstrous doom just few months after Ganduje rose to throne.
After few months on power, Ganduje’s regime took new dimension, continuity changed to contradiction, positive change jumped to chains and progression metamorphosed to retrogression, the regime became myopic and began by abandoning our sponsored post graduate students at abroad in the name austerity measures and sanitizing irregularities, most of them are out their campuses fighting to make impossible possible, in short, Ganduje is not even ready to give those students a second glance, masters are suffering in the hand of their servant.
In the broad day light Ganduje become vassalage of upper class indigenes not commoners who went under the scotch of sun to brought him to power by denying free education to off springs of commoners but callously paid whooping 40 million naira to students of Hassan Gwarzo College, which is not state responsibility but just to foolishly earn cheap political points, why not every students in Kano? And on which pedigree all these bias and myopic decisions were taken?
Retrogression passes nooks and crannies of Kano, fighting for clean water is now common not only in villages but in the state metropolitan but the governor is busy buying exotics cars to members of the state House of Assembly, Why austerity measures are only applicable to commoners? .While people are suffering from artificial poverty, they are tirelessly queuing at various radio stations to entreat public help for medical expenses to survive this inflated life but he (Ganduje) was busy extravagating public fund on deputy governor’s house, the project that was completed by previous administration, the captain of this regime is dubious and directionless, You need microscope to view presence of government at state hospitals.
The so call progressive regime of Khadimul Qur’an closed eyes on job creation and focus on joke creation through political programs on various radio stations, government policies and programs should not end on radio but rather implemented so that people will feel and see the presence government in their daily life, for commoners get the real dividend of democracy, short of fund is not an excuse due to the fact that even local governments funds are still in state government’s pocket.
Huge work is waiting for my dear governor to bring back Kano to the right track that he found it on, so that he could build up from there and bring back our glory days, people would surely wave their both hand at him if education of their children keep collapsing, Health system keep deteriorating and rate of employment keeps rising exponentially.
Few people enjoy second chance in life, Governor Ganduje needs to stop political wars and focus on how to make Kano great once again so that he could be among indelible leaders of great Kano, and he could write his history in gold by always putting Kano first in his remaining years on throne.
