What you wear  in form of clothes and make – up are non verbal forms of communication, which connotes who you are, where you belong, what you posses and even how you will be addressed in the society.
However, it is a pleasant surprise that old fashion is becoming celebrated once again. What we used to celebrate is gradually fading out, and what we used to ignore is now coming into limelight. The iro and buba of the Yoruba ethnic group, has now back as the oleku of the twenty first century and is being used by diverse ethnic groups, age and class and in one word, “accepted by all.”
The long skirts and gowns, high waist skirts and trousers, pencil trousers, pleated and flare skirts, and pants now known as leggings were all abandoned over so many decades but are now popping up with touches of modernity.
Diving into the world of hairstyles; styles like afro, jerry perm, feathered, punk are all back fully in the hair dressing shops as stylist now tap from the archives to bring them out and give them this touch of modernity.                                               
Fashion and style fluctuates no doubt, but the most constant fact about them is,  “dress to fit the occasion.”
