Ribadu landed at about 4.30pm at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammad international Airport, Ikeja, Lagos aboard a Delta Flight DL 053 from Atlanta in US.

The anti-corruption chief was dressed in an off white and navy blue striped kaftan with a black cap and was received by family members including his wife and three children.

Ribadu who was supposed to come in through the arrival hall showed up from the Very Important Personality (VIP) departure check-in point where representatives of both the electronic and print media had been waiting to interview him.   

Anxiety reigned in the air amidst news of the return of the controversial ex-EFCC boss as security operatives from the anti-graft agency were heavily on ground and barring journalists from getting close to him as they were pushing reporters away.

When asked how had it been in exile, he said “Wonderful! Wonderful! great, fine, am okay, Alhamdulilahi (meaning glory be to God).”

The security personnel however did not allow him to entertain further questions as he was moved away while journalists were pushed out.
