Rihanna, 21, was photographed spending time with Matt in Mexico over the New Year holidays after having spent time with her family in Barbados and performing in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

She had been through a terrible period last year after former boyfriend, Chris Brown attacked her on Grammy night, hitting and biting her. Photographs of her bruised face were posted on the internet and Brown, 20, pleaded guilty before a judge and received five years probation. He has since apologised for the attack.

While Rihanna has re-emerged from that dark period with her successful album, Rated R, which she said was heavily influenced by the beating, Chris Brown was recently quoted as saying his album is being undermined by shop owners who keep them away from customers.

With this development, Rihanna seems to be putting the Chris Brown affair behind her and her Nigerian fans will be glad to know she is finally moving on.
