Channels TV reporter, Joshua Rogers, regained his freedom about 24 hours after gunmen abducted him near his residence at Rumuosi in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Daily Trust gathered that the journalist regained his freedom at about 10pm on Friday.
One of Mr Rogers’ colleagues with Channels TV in Port Harcourt, Charles Opuorum, confirmed his release to journalists on Friday night.
Opuroum stated, “Yes, he has been released. He has been reunited with his family.”
Rogers is the Rivers State Government House correspondent for Channels TV.
The journalist was abducted in front of his residence shortly after covering an event at Ndoni part of Port Harcourt.
