Dame Patience’s actions, on a daily basis, point to this direction and present the president as a weakling, even at the homefront. The onus is definitely on President Jonathan to call his wife to order. She is not the first First Lady that Nigeria has ever had.
President Jonathan should thank God that there would be no gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State in 2015, otherwise Dame Patience’s continuous interference, and domineering behaviours have the potentials to harm his victory in his home state. The meddlesomeness of the First Lady is unbecoming.
More disturbing is the popular belief that she appears determined to impose her own candidate on the party in Rivers State. It is on record that many members of the PDP have left the party as a result of the overbearing attitude of the First Lady. If the PDP loses Rivers State, we know where to point accusing fingers. Somebody should call her to order, please.
