The people of Rivers State have urged Governor Siminalaye Fubara to probe the six months activities of the former Sole Administrator of the state, Vice Admiral Ibok Ete-Ibas (Rtd).
The stakeholders and citizens of the state also claimed that the Sole Administrator has not achieved any meaningful development in the state despite all the billions of the state resources under his disposal.
The people lamented that all the projects the Governor started before his suspension from office were still where they were, without any touch by the former Administrator.
Chief Emeka Beke, APC factional Chairman in Rivers State, said Ibas has not achieved anything for the state, and he did not even try to achieve anything.

He challenged the outgoing Sole Administrator to point out one developmental project he has done in the state for the past six months.
He said: “Ibok Ete-Ibas has not achieved anything, he has not even tried to achieve anything, he came to enjoy the resources of Rivers State and he is leaving very fulfilled.
“I challenge him to point to one project that he did as Sole Administrator in Rivers state, he should show Rivers people what he has done with the billions of naira he has received in the last six months.
“If I was the governor of Rivers State, that man would be probed, when Fubara resumes, he should set up a panel of inquiry to call him to come and account for what he did with Rivers State resources, with the amount of money he has taken on behalf of Rivers State.”
Also speaking, Rivers citizens and Chairman of Bayelsa State Civil Liberty Organization (CLO), Comrade David-West David, said Ibok Ete-Ibas did nothing in the state for the six months, describing his stay as doom to the state.
He said: “As far as I’m concerned, the retired military general or the Sole Administrator of Rivers State as he is called, has virtually done nothing for Rivers people, rather than to compound the problems of Rivers State.
“I am in support of Governor Fubara to set up a panel of Inquiry to probe the expenditure of Rivers State in the past six, to ensure that billions of Rivers money spent wrongly is retrieved back to the state coffer.” He said.
Similarly, a political scientist and public affairs analyst, Dr. Fynface Dumneme, said apart from the peace which has been returned to the state, Ibok Ete-Ibas is not leaving the state better than he met.
Dr. Dumneme, who is the Executive Director, Youths and Environmental Advocacy Centre (YEAC) Nigeria, said the only achievement the former Administrator of the state can point at is the conduct of the local government election.
He said: “He received so much resources on behalf of the state, for the first time in Rivers State we have a budget of over N1.4 trillion, within a short time, the Sole Administrator should give account of his services.”
