Veteran actors Richard Mofe-Damijo aka RMD and Olu Jacobs are among the cast for the television drama series, ‘Hush’ sponsored by telecommunications company, Globacom.
A release from the company said its decision to sponsor the television series is in line with its commitment to supporting the arts, especially the promotion of time-honoured family values.
The statement said the television series would have a total of 261 episodes with Richard Mofe-Damijo, Olu Jacobs, Thelma Okoduwa and Mawuli Gavar from Ghana as the main acts.
“The plot of Hush is woven around ambition, power, intrigues and emotional desires. The drama also explores the affairs between society’s elite and power shifts which the different characters manifest as they interact with one another,” the statement said.
A highpoint in the series is Bem’s marriage proposal to Arinola which sparks a series of events as a result of the secrets in their respective lives, secrets that run through the backrooms of secret societies, in the judicial quarters and on the social media.
“Hush presents various slices of contemporary African family life with its attendant intrigues, follies, virtues and vices. It teaches and thrills as it unravels secret after secret in the lives of the protagonists that mirrors what happens in the real world. The motto of Hush is ‘nothing is as it seems’ and this connotes 360 degrees entertainment in an unlimited manner. We commend Hush to the viewer,” the release said.
