The police in Ogun State have arrested three suspected armed robbers for allegedly invading a hospital in Oremeji Area of Ibafo, Obafemi Owode LGA of the state and carting away patients’ property.

The suspects are: Folarin Azeez, aka Hyper, 25; Temitope Bolariwa aka Tincan 24 and Kolade Ahmed, 30.

A statement by the police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi yesterday said they were arrested following a distress call received from police emergency centre that armed robbers have invaded Riverside Hospital and dispossessed patients in the hospital of their belongings.

Oyeyemi said upon receipt of the distress call, the DPO Ibafo, Abiodun Ayinde, led his anti-robbery team to the scene where the suspects on sighting them escaped through a nearby bush.

He said the operatives launched a manhunt for the suspects as intelligence investigation revealed that the hoodlums were hibernating somewhere in Shimawa area.

He said the DPO and his operatives moved to the area where the three suspects were subsequently apprehended.

Items reportedly recovered from them are 12 mobile phones as well as wrist watches which the victims later identified as their robbed property.
