Thirty-eight-year-old POS operator in llawe-Ekiti, in Ekiti State, Bode Apata, has been killed by armed robbers in the state.

 According to a source yesterday, three robbers stormed the residence of the deceased at One Aofin area of the community where he was one of the POS agents operating in the town before he was killed in the attack.

 The information gathered revealed that he was shot in the head yesterday around 1am, when the robbers accosted him at his residence.

Residents of the area said the robbers had earlier attacked some houses, maltreated the people and asked for the exact house of the POS agent living in the area.

 The robbers after the killing the agent allegedly went away with his POS machine, his mobile phones and some of his other valuables.

 Confirming the robbery attack, the Ekiti State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Sunday Abutu, said the perpetrators would be arrested.
