Armed robbers have shot and killed a woman, Mrs Dupe Daniel, in her residence at the Adankolo area Lokoja, Kogi State, and stolen her car.

A witness said the robbers came to the woman’s house on Sunday while she was preparing to go to church, killed her and went away with her car and cellphone.

He said Mrs Daniel retired recently from the state’s civil service, with her last posting at the Government House, Lokoja.

The Commissioner of Police (CP), Hakeem Adeshina Yusuf, told Daily Trust on Thursday that, “What I can tell you now is that the woman was killed by robbers and we are investigating.”
