Police in Anambra State, yesterday, arrested one robbery suspect, Sunday Onyema with a police Berretta pistol at Upper Iweka in Onitsha.
The police spokesman in the state, SP Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the arrest of the suspect.
“In the early hours of Wednesday, August 7, 2019, Operation Puff-Adder operatives, in conjunction with the patrol team attached to Operation Kpochapu, while on stop and search duty at Upper Iweka in Onitsha, intercepted a bus with registration number UKP108ZU coming from Asaba.
“After a thorough search they recovered a police Berretta pistol with breech number AO-4909Z loaded with seven rounds of live ammunitions, one expended ammunition and six different handsets in possession of one Sunday Onyema from Orlu in Imo State.”
