Rotary Club of Abuja, Gudu, at the weekend handed over a newly built classroom block and headmaster’s office to LEA Primary School Nomadic, Durumi III, in Angwa Fulani Village, Gaduwa.

It was financed through voluntary contributions by members of the club.

Handing over the project, the governor, Rotary International District 9125, Goddy Nnadi, urged the school management to take good care of the new facility.

Nnadi, represented by the district secretary, Ahmed Alhassan, said, “Our main focus is on the welfare of the pupils. If they do not have a proper learning environment, it becomes difficult for them to concentrate on their lessons.”

The president of the club for the Rotary year 2022-23, Alvan Gurumnaan, said the project was one of many targeted at the less privileged in society.

Among other projects carried out by the club in the school were tree planting campaign; provision of textbooks and exercise books to 150 pupils; provision of teaching aid and provision of furniture for nursery school teachers among others. The headmaster of the school, Abdullahi Saidu Sabo, while commending Rotarians for the gesture, promised judicious use of the facility.
