The Rotary Club of Abuja Capital, on Friday, awarded scholarships to 200 students in Dawaki primary school, Abuja.

Adeuja Oluwasogo, President of the club, said beneficiaries were identified and bankrolled based on lack of financial support to pursue their academic studies.

He said every year the club goes in search of prospective beneficiaries.

“The financial aid will help them to purchase needed materials for their school.

“There are many students out there that are good but for one reason or the other, their parents are incapacitated by not having enough funds to see them through academic pursuit,” he said.

Joshua Ikanni, the Project Chair, said the club would explore expanding the scholarships to accommodate more beneficiaries.

He emphasized that the Rotary Club of Abuja Capital was committed to touching and changing lives
