President of RTEAN Comrade Musa Shehu Isiwele stated this over the weekend in Abuja during the National Executive (NEC) meeting where he added that the union is making plans to build a befitting national secretariat.
Isiwele said the architects and partners in the project from Canada have already presented the categories of houses and arrangement has been concluded for a final memorandum of understanding to be signed.
“We are going to start with 100, 000 houses so that all members can own a house to pay back in 10 years. A form has been given already; everybody is going to fill the forms and decide the type of houses they want.
“This type of business is a win-win business. It is a business where you cannot lose; you are asked to pay certain amount in  a year and you are going to pay it for 10 years. Immediately after two or three years you can say okay let me sell this house; the house doesn’t depreciate, it always appreciates and you can sell and pay off your balance and still have your change,” he said.
The president also advised his members to  register during voter registration so as to exercise their civic responsibilities during election as 2015, the year for general elections approaches.
