The national leadership of the Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) yesterday in Abuja inaugurated its Lagos State branch.
The branch was reconstituted following the federal government’s intervention in the 15-month suspension of the activities of the association in the state.
RTEAN’s President, Musa Maitakobi, charged the new executive to adopt peaceful ways of addressing issues instead of resorting to protest or thuggery.
Maitakobi charged the newly elected chairman of Lagos State branch, His Royal Highness, Oba Sulaiman Raji Adeshina, to immediately resolve all pending issues in the branch.
In his acceptance speech, Adeshina expressed happiness for being elected as the RTEAN chairman of Lagos State.
“I pledge to do my best and carry RTEAN to a higher level. I plead for all the members and executives to work together as one family”, he said.
