National President of the association,   Alhaji Shehu Musa Isiwele, made this call when the association paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Works Architect Mike Onolememen in Abuja
He said, “The critical role and contributions of road transportation in our nation`s economy cannot be overemphasized hence the need for federal government`s  assistance in the development of highway ultra modern parks with reference to special consideration for federal highway land acquisition by our organization for the building  of ‘RTEAN’  multibillion world class highways motor parks on major highways in Nigeria with all modern facilities for all transporters, passengers, security agencies and all other stakeholders on our highways.”
He said that the project will be executed with the support of other stakeholders, adding that the move will assist in the attainment of all government objectives in its road developmental agenda.
In his response, works minister Architect Mike Onolememen assured the association of federal government`s support, adding that the contributions will sought wherever necessary in the making the road sector a better one.
