The Rubochi Development Association (RUDA), in Kuje Area Council has distributed N400, 000 worth of writing materials to nursery and primary school pupils in the community.

The president of RUDA, Comrade Iyakwo Joseph, while presenting the instructional materials during the association’s town hall meeting, said the materials comprised of 3,500 exercise books, 400 biro’s and rulers, 1000 pencils and folders to 1,100 pupils, from three public schools and two private schools in the community. 

He said the gesture was part of the association’s little way of  supporting the pupils to encourage the less privileged ones at the grassroots to acquire education.

He therefore called on the authorities of Local Education Authority (LEA) in Kuje Area Council to as a matter of urgency and priority intervene towards improving infrastructure at primary schools at the community.
