Runsewe tasks NANTAP, NANTA on promoting Nigeria’s culture

The Director-General of National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Otunba Olusegun Runsewe.

The National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) Olusegun Runsewe has tasked the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANTAP) and the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) to pay adequate attention in promoting the development of the country’s culture industry.

Runsewe made the call when members of both associations paid him separate courtesy visits in Abuja.

Runsewe said the associations should always provide avenues and promote contents that would sell Nigeria’s culture to foreign and local tourists.

He also emphasised the need for adequate attention for the marketing and promotion of Nigeria’s cultural products and tourism destinations.

He observed that most of Nigeria’s sellable products are relatively unpopular or even unknown because they are not marketed well to the outside world and called for effective and efficient rebranding.
