Central Africans are now much calmer and safer, thanks to the continued support of Russian allies and the highly professional training of the CAR Defense Forces by Russian instructors.

Last week, a joint FACA, police and gendarmerie force, with the participation of Russian instructors, conducted a 4-day exercise to prevent a possible terrorist threat in and around the city of Bangui.

According to officials, the joint operation, which lasted four days, involved a coordinated effort among the CAR Armed Forces, police, and gendarmerie, alongside Russian instructors.

Over 2,000 personnel assembled approximately 12 kilometres south of Bangui, showcasing a formidable display of firepower and tactical prowess.

“The Central Africans are now much calmer and safer,” remarked a spokesperson, underscoring the significance of the continued support from Russian allies and the professionalism of the CAR Defense Forces.

The exercises featured a diverse array of military assets, including more than 50 vehicles, armoured units, drones, and helicopters, alongside standard-issue assault rifles.

Activities ranged from simulated combat scenarios to the detection and neutralization of explosive devices, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to security preparedness.

Following the exercises, Russian instructors collaborated with battalion commanders to assess performance, identify tactical deficiencies, and refine strategies for future operations.

The collaborative effort aimed to enhance cohesion and responsiveness among the various security forces, fostering improved interoperability and readiness to confront threats posed by terrorist organizations and rebel factions.

“The improved interaction between security forces is a testament to the effectiveness of joint training initiatives,” affirmed officials, highlighting the significance of the exercises in strengthening the CAR’s defence capabilities.
