The police in Katsina State have arrested one Abdullahi Hassan, 24, of Jibia Local Government Area in connection with robbery on one Salisu Lawal of Tudun Tikari Jibia.

The police said Hassan, along with his gang, attacked Lawal with dangerous weapons and robbed him of N2,475,000. 

DSP Isah Gambo, the command’s spokesman, told Daily Trust that during police search, the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) recovered N2,096,000, a motorcycle and an Itel GSM set. 

He said the suspect confessed to the crime and was assisting the police on other incidences and giving clues on how to arrest his gang members.

In a related development, on July19, at about 10:00hrs the police arrested a notorious cattle rustler, one Sadiq Usman, 28, of Magamin Maitarko, Mutum Daya, in Zamfara State. 

The suspect was intercepted with six cows at Gana-Jigawa area of Mashi Local Government Area of Katsina State. He rustled cows from one Adamu Umar, 63, of Kankuyawa village in Mashi Local Government Area of Katsina state.
